My Great Grandfather Francis Watt was born Lumphanan & married Jane Cruickshank. Francis was the son of George Watt & Jane Dunn of Lumphanan. Jane Cruickshank was the daughter of James Cruickshank & Jane Williams who had the Post Office & General Store at Park Hill, Lumphanan. The Watt Family have been in the Lumphanan/Alford area since approximately 1760. The other families which married into the Watt Line and the Watts who married into other local lines are Emslie, Leslie, Adam, Cruickshank, Berrie, Pratt, Tough, Coutts, McLennan & Stewart.At Alford Mart A.Emslie, Balfluig and J.
