Jane Ann Emslie was the sister of my Great Grandfather, Francis Watt, they were the children of George & Jane Watt. They were raised in Lumphanan. She married Alexander Emslie 13 May 1876 & they would spend the rest of their lives at Balfluig. They had seven children. Jane Ann 1878, Peter Alexander 1880-1887, William 1883, George Francis 1885, James 1886, Alexander 1890, Patricia Alexina Isobel 1893-1984. Can anyone tell me what happened to these children?

Patricia A.I. Emslie b. 11 May 1892 married Alexander Adam 14 Sep 1916 in Alford. Alexander died on 16 Oct 1918 in France. They had one child Alexander b. circa 1911 in Alford.

Patricia stayed on at Balfluig running the farm with the help of her grieve Geordie Watt. Her son Alec was a contemporary of my parents Alec & Chris Gray. Mum's Dad (William Stewart) was blacksmith at Lonenwell at this time. In the 40s I remember Patricia (or Auntie Na as I called her) Baby- sitting for Mum. Patricia and Geordie were guests at our wedding in 1965. David Adam her grandson still lives at Balfluig.

Brothers of Jane Ann Emslie nee Watt. I am stuck with my Family Tree. Jane Ann had two brothers who simply disappeared from history. George Watt born 4 August 1843 & James Watt born 1853. They were like Jane Ann both the sons of George Watt 1822-1901 and lived in the Lumphanan area. If there are family historians who could help me I would love to hear from them as I am in Australia and it has become impossible to go any further with the research. Cheers Iain Watt

This a photo of my paternal great grandparents. William Emslie 1882-1966 was my grandfather. He married Nellie Stewart 1889-1959 and they had three sons and emigrated to Canada in 1929.

William Emslie 1882,son of Jane Watt and Alexander Emslie married Nellie Stewart ,1889 in 1909 in Alford. They had 3 sons, William Alexander, George Stewart and Ian James. They emigrated to Canada in 1929. George had 3 children and he is my father.

Patricia Emslie was my grandmother. I never met her. She had my father but he was put up for adoption immediately after he was born. It would be interesting if any knows who the father was.
