The Alford Image Library

Again from the album in Alford Heritage Centre with possible connections to Dunecht. I'm fairly certain that this was taken at Sandhurst because I have recently seen a similar photograph in an identical setting of the young Winston Churchill, newly qualified as an army officer and taken at Sandhurst.....so presumably these are Gordon Highlander officers (look at the cap badge).

This picture hasn't been taken at Sandhurst. In fact this is a gathering of NCOs from the Highland Division. From the uniforms and the cap badges there are Argylls, Camerons, and Seaforths as well as Gordons. They may have been the staff of some form of training establishment as they are all NCOs. Only two officers are present.
