Montgarrie Bridge, a pictorial story of the deconstruction of the old bridge and its replacement.
Some of you may be aware that some of the images from this website, courtesy of Alford Heritage Centre and Museum, were used for the explanatory boards sited next to the new Montgarrie Bridge. Graeme Fisher, Aberdeenshire Council's Project Engineer in charge of the design and implementation of the replacement bridge, very kindly sent copies of photographs and plans showing the stage by stage deconstruction of the old bridge and its replacement with our wonderful new bridge. Alford Image Library have been given permission to display these on the website and digital copies will also be lodged at Alford Heritage Centre and Museum.
