The Rev George Williams, Minister of Norrieston Free Church,Thornhill for many years. He came from Holmhead, Leochel Cushnie, and is the one sitting on the "back to front chair" second from right.
June goes on to say: "Not sure when the picture of the Rev George Williams was taken,it was sent to me by a lady who was clearing out old parish records. He was born at Leochel Cushnie in 1845. His parents, George and Helen (Tough)Williams, had the croft of Holmhead. He did marry but had no family. He died at Thornhill in 1929 and is buried in Norrieston Churchyard."
