Apparently one of the crew on the left had a sorry end. Does anyone know who he was, what he did and what happened to him?

The man in the top left is Willie McAllan of West Greenburn,Craigievar. The photo was taken some time after he returned to work after recovering from his wounds in WW1.He went on to work with the Northern Marts in Kittybrewster, then to the Strathmore Mart in Forfar.
