Oddly marked stone

The marks on this stone would seem to be quite purposefully made (parallel lines, crosses, Vs, etc) and not the random marks of plough scuffing. Very similar markings, indeed, to those on similar stones in the stone circles at Ardlair and at East Aquhorthies. This stone was large enough to have been an outlier of a stone circle in its own right (approx. 1.5m x1m x 0.8m) and was found in the vacinity of other similarly marked stones.
