Alford to Aberdeen Road from WellheadsFormerly mislabelled as Alford to Muir of Fowlis Road.
Picture added on 20 August 2008
Thanks Big Nick. As someone else pointed out, these postcards were often mislabelled. What I'm not sure of, however, is the large building to the right. It looks like a school and so I'm not sure that there is an equivalent building on the Alford to Whitehouse stretch of the A944. Could someone else have a look at this photograph and give an opinion please?

Most of the house is still there. You can see the front of the house as you drive towards Aberdeen (just after the turn off to the Stewart Milne houses). I do not know why the side of the house is no longer there.
The house is owned now by Mr Sid C. I suspect he did not live there when the picture was taken.

Ah, I know the one you mean Big Nick and I've often thought it looked like a school.

Hello, we have owned this house and have been renovating it since 2013. We would love to know more about it if anyone could help. We know it was a school originally built in 1850, and was used as a clinic by a Dr Manson for 11 years from around 1957-68. It was then family home for the. Cruickshanks. Desperately seeking info and pictures if anyone could help. Thank you

Not sure where Muir Of Fowlis comes in to it.
