West Kirk, Alford (originally labelled as Keig? )Is this a Sunday school gathering or perhaps celebrating Empire Day or May Day (look at the garlanded children in front row)?

Unless substantial changes have taken place, the church bears only superficial resemblance to Keig - see www.geograph.org.uk/photo/887424

Yes, I agree having been out to visit Keig Kirk again....the topography is wrong for this side of the kirk (here fairly flat, at Keig the ground falls away fairly steeply). So any ideas where it is? Could it be the West Kirk in Alford?

The obelisk in the kirkyard, and the plaque on the church wall with the glazing of the adjacent window all point to this indeed being the West Kirk. The group is lined up by the wall that runs alongside the road from Muir of Fowlis to Alford.
