Picnic at Whitehouse Rocks

Edith McHardy and (possibly) John Paterson. Photograph taken at Whitehouse crags June 1930. Edith, who appears to have been a keen writer once wrote about picnics taken after church on a Sunday: "In the glorious warmth of the afternoon, it is always worthwhile to ascend the nearest hill where, if anywhere in all the earth, the air is as pure as it was meant to be." Whitehouse Crags seem to have been a favourite.
