Jimmy McHardy is in fact the piper at the viewer's left end of the back row of this picture; review of his photograph in other sources, e.g. Ron Winram's Land of the Lonach will confirm the resemblance. He was my great grandfather's brother and I now own and play the pipes he used in the 1930's - given to me by his duaghter edith in 1994.
